M.R.C. was founded in 1999-'00. It is a dynamic and modern musical association, which has members that are elected musical institutions that are recognized by the state and belong to the Private Recognized Educational Music Institutions Association ("P.R.E.M.I.A").

M.R.C.'s goal is to create musical festivals and to organize and promote artistic activities and concerts, which cultivate musical thinking and promote art. Also, another goal is to promote excellent students to competitions and to provide scholarships for these students.

The members of M.R.C. are elected from every town or municipality in accordance with specific standards. These standards concern the established teaching faculty, the orderly operation of all the classes and the highly established technical infrastructure of the facilities.

Anagennisi Conservatory was one of the first members of the M.R.C., which was created by the P.R.E.M.I.A..
